I organized two large conferences:
1. On behalf of the Center for Disease Dynamics, Economics & Policy: The Global Forum on Antibacterial Infections with more than 400 clinicians, policy makers, and researchers. The Indian minister of Health and Family Welfare, the Kenyan minister of Medical Services, the Ghanaian deputy minister of Health and the Vietnamese vice director of Medical Services committed to reducing the burden of bacterial infections in their respective countries. The forum also saw the release and signing of the ‘New Delhi Call to Action on Preserving the Power of Antibiotics’, a document that recognizes antibiotics as a shared common resource and emphasizes strategies to preserve their effectiveness for future generations. Read the Meeting Report.
2. On behalf of the US State Department: A Roundtable Discussion on Public and Private Partnerships for Zika Virus with more than 180 senior executives, clinicians, and government officials. Read the Opening Remarks.
